What Deyra collects
Account — your email address and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
Profile — your display name, age, gender, bio, profile photo, and any social links you choose to add. Everything here is visible to people near you. Gender is used to place you in other people's filters, and to apply the filter you choose yourself.
Location — your precise location, while discovery is switched on. This is the core of the app: it's what decides who appears in your feed and how far away they are.
Bluetooth — a rotating, anonymous token broadcast to nearby devices so Deyra can tell that two phones are in the same room even where GPS is imprecise. The token changes regularly and carries no personal information.
Messages — the messages you send in a match, kept only for the lifetime of that chat.
Device token — a push notification identifier, so we can tell you about a new wave or match.
What Deyra does not do
- We do not sell your data. Ever. To anyone.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not run advertising networks or third-party analytics SDKs in the app.
- We do not store a history of where you've been. Your location record is overwritten, not appended.
Who can see what
Other users near you can see your name, age, gender, photo, bio, links and an approximate distance. They cannot see your exact coordinates, your email, or anything about you when your discovery toggle is off.
When you turn discovery off
Location updates stop, Bluetooth broadcasting stops, and you disappear from everyone's feed.
How long we keep things
- Location — only the most recent point, replaced on every update.
- Messages — deleted when the match's chat window closes.
- Profile and account — until you delete your account.
Deleting everything
Settings → Delete account removes your profile, photo, links, messages, location and login. This is immediate and cannot be undone.
Your rights
Settings → Request my data builds a file containing everything Deyra holds about you and gives you a private download link that works for 24 hours.
You can also ask us to correct your data, or to delete it, by writing to [email protected]. We reply within 30 days.
Service providers
Deyra runs on Supabase (database, authentication, media storage), uses ZeptoMail to deliver account emails such as verification codes, and uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications. They process data on our instructions only.
Children
Deyra is not for anyone under 18. If we learn an account belongs to someone younger, we delete it.
